The rear seat goes in
It has been a few weeks and we have been busy painting the condo office / pilot lounge. Not a lot has happened on the Cessna but hopefully that will soon change.
I have a date of 1/15/2007 scheduled for me at the paint shop and we need time do do a little flying before then. I still have the hope that the airplane will be flyable in December sometime.
Today Jerry worked on the rear bench seat. Again we were crossing our fingers that the bolts somewhat lined up keeping us away from any airframe structural modifications.
The original seat bolted in with a single bolt on each leg. The new style of course has 2 bolts making it much beefier. Luck played with us and the original bolt pattern hit the one side of the new 2 bolt design. All we needed to do was make another mounting hole for the second bolt which was not very hard at all.
Here is the seat mounted in the aircraft -
