founders of Mansfield landing, Dave Fetherston and Ron Nation have been local
pilots for many years. Along with many other Massachusetts pilots, we had been
waiting and wanting a hangar at Mansfield Airport. When the opportunity arose
at Mansfield to develop the Quadrant 4 area with hangars we jumped at the
chance.
Our combined experience in aviation and construction allowed us to win the construction project and create Mansfield Landing. We not only want to build hangars, we want to establish a community of pilots sharing our love for aviation for years to come. David Fetherston has lived in Mansfield since 1993. He moved to Massachusetts to start an Avionics company (Altair Avionics) in Norwood which has grown to 49 people. He is a licensed A&P mechanic, instrument pilot both helicopters and airplanes and owns a beautifully restored 1941 Stearman. Dave actually lives next to the airport on Fruit street where he can keep an eye on our hangars. Ron Nation has lived in Hopkinton since 1980. He runs one of the most successful construction companies specializing in high end homes. They have completed over 15 miles of roadways and 400 homes in the Metro West area. Ron also built his hangar at Taunton airport. He is an instrument rated pilot and owns a Mooney Ovation and Decathlon. Please feel free to come by the airport and say hello. Thank you,
